Allen Veterans Fall Festival will be held on October 3rd starting at 9am in Allen Kansas. Car show Registration 9a-11a. Car Show from 9a-4p and judging at 3:30. Newman Regional Health will host a drive-thru flu shot  on Tuesday, October 6th from Noon-7pm at the Anderson Building parking lot on the Lyon County Fair Grounds. United Way of the Flint Hills is hosting an inaugural Tastiest Taco event with locally-owned restaurants in the Flint Hills to bring you the Tastiest Taco contest. Interested Taco Lovers will purchase a “Passport to Tacos” which is good for one taco at each participating restaurant from October 23rd through November 7th.
