SOS Adopt-A-Family Holiday Drive

The stress of the holiday season can often bring additional pressure for families who have been torn apart by domestic violence, child abuse or neglect. To help make the holidays brighter for those troubled families, SOS offers community the opportunity to adopt a family and provide basic needs and gifts during the holidays within the six counties SOS serves: Chase, Coffey, Lyon, Greenwood, Morris, and Osage.

When you adopt a family, you will receive a copy of the “wish list” they have filled out with the help of their SOS advocate. It will include genders and ages for all kids and parents in the household, sizes and some of their favorite items. Gifts should be left unwrapped and dropped off between 8 am and 5 pm anytime before December 14 at the SOS Administrative Office located at 618 Mechanic in Emporia.
